Creators: lafactoria3d - Team that Inspired me: LowellMakes
I am making masks for local Boston hospitals. My hopes are to inspire others to help in whatever way they can. I am grateful to all who have donated. All donation will go towards the making of 3D printed masks to protect essential workers. A single mask costs me $10 to make in materials. Thank you for your support! If you have questions there is a link at the bottom of the page to contact me. |

Project Updates
Project complete! I printed a total of 185 masks. 25 were donated to Beth Israel Hospital, 25 to the local Market Basket Super Market, and the 135 to the local first responders. In staying true to the cause, which so many of you donated towards, remaining funds will be directly donated to the COVID Relief Fund. https://www.macovid19relieffund.org/ Thank you all again for your generosity and kindness. Together we made a difference.

-------DISCLAIMER------
We are all wanting to help and doing nothing does not really sit well with most of us but do please read below. This model has not been approved by any regulatory agency. Use it at your own risk, and only as a last resort, if you do not have any other homologated protection. The recommended measures to protect yourself from infection with the coronavirus COVID-19 are the following: • Stay home and avoid contact with other people • Avoid touching your face with your hands • Wash your hands very often Note: This model only includes the mask structure (3 pieces) but does not include the required filter to effectively block the spread of the virus. Also, additional isolation measures could be required to properly fit the face without air gaps. Please check the comments for more information shared by other users about the types of filters that could apply to a mask with these characteristics. The effectiveness of P3 particle filters has been mentioned, and probably also HEPA 12/13, but unfortunately we do not have the means of analysis necessary to confirm this with guarantees. Again we remind you to use this model at your own risk.
